If the Blizzard downloader is too slow for you or does not work at your place, you may find these mirrors useful. I have mirrored the patches on wirebrain behind CoBlitz (a Content Distribution network). This usually yields acceptable speed, but can become slow in times of high demand (or when the servers get overworked due to other processing). If you want to link to these mirrors, please link to this thread instead of the URLs directly; there are more options here, which can only make things easier for you :-)
All the patches and the client are also available on RapidShare http://rapidshare.com/users/VPAGX6 as both Premium-Links (i.e. full file downloads up to 2gb in size) and split archives (i.e. downloadable by any "free" user).
.torrent files are provided for all of the patches. You can use any BitTorrent client you like to fetch these from the same BitTorrent swarm the Blizzard Downloader uses; If you are unsure which BitTorrent client is for you, http://www.utorrent.com/ is a popular (and decent) choice.
Where possible, I have provided MD5 checksums, exact filesizes, and a link to a downloadable MD5 checksum file (under the "Checksums" link). Some of them have been courteously supplied by Datth (http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=9023660520&postId=91711040053&sid=2000#3) as independent verification.
FileFront links have been removed due to FileFront having banned my account after uploading these patches.
If you are just starting out, you should get the Client, the "8622 (or later) to 8820" patch, the 8820 to 8895, the 8895 to 8905, the 8905 to 8926, the 8926 to 8962, the 8962 to 8970 and the 8970 to 8982 patches.
The individual patches from 8622->8634->8681->8714->8770->8788->8820 are not needed in that case (and have been moved to http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=9023602703&postId=91849922949&sid=2000#27 to avoid confusion)

If you are having trouble with any of the downloaded files, I suggest you check its checksum and filesize (http://www.md5summer.org/ is an excellent tool for this; follow the Checksums-link, download the .MD5-file into the same place the patch was downloaded to, and scan it with MD5summer (or any other MD5-checker of your choice). If they match, you'll know that at least the file is not corrupt or truncated. SFV-links are provided as well (for a simple CRC32 check).
